It’s been almost three decades since Tampa Family Health Centers started helping the residents of the Tampa Bay area have better health and a better quality of life.
Our objective is to deliver excellent, compassionate, and accessible health care to a culturally diverse population.
Tampa Family Health Centers started in 1984 as a grassroots effort founded by concerned residents who got together intending to provide accessible, comprehensive, and ongoing health care.
Today, Tampa Family Health Centers is a successful health care delivery system offering services to the insured and uninsured (based on a sliding fee scale), with fourteen (14) facilities across Hillsborough County.

Services include Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology(OB/GYN), and Dental Care.

In addition to our 16 facilities, TFHC offers two mobile dentistry units and a mobile medical unit; these mobile units enable TFHC to deliver the same quality service across the community and special events.

Through an income verification process, uninsured people are provided subsidized treatments. Medicare, Medicaid, and several commercial insurance plans are accepted at TFHC.

We’re a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with 16 locations throughout Hillsborough County, offering medical, dental, and pharmacy services.
We’re always looking for new ways to serve the people in our area better, including creating additional locations. Our Service Center site handles all phone calls, referrals, and e-faxes.
The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care has granted us its seal of approval (AAAHC).
Our Board of Directors is entire of local community members who volunteer their time as part of our private, not-for-profit organization.
Competitive Advantages.

At our company, we provide seven paid holidays and a Paid Time Off (PTO) program that accrues at 15 days per year. We also offer a 401k program for long-term savings.
